Blackwater Falls & Canaan Valley:
The Canaan Highlands area offers activities for all seasons - skiing, hiking, golfing, biking, and many other things. I love to watch for deer and other wildlife, and Canaan Valley is the best place I know of to "deer spot". The deer in Canaan Valley State Park are quite tame, and can be something of a nuisance, especially on the golf course and on the roads, where they beg for food (although feeding them is illegal, they do manage to wheedle a good bit out of the visitors).
